The offices provide information on employment opportunities and advice on self-employment, training programs, seminars in Greece or abroad and exchange programs. The career offices aim to act as a valuable tool for members of the travel and tourism sector and its graduates as it seeks personnel for the former and provides job opportunities for the latter thus “creating systematic communication and a mechanism for mutual information in order to respond to the requirement of specialized personnel in the tourism industry.” The service was realized by the European Union, within the framework of the operational program ‘”Competitiveness” and is 80 percent co-financed by the European Social Fund and 20 percent through national funding.
