The company’s membership in the UNWTO confirms the strong aspiration of the City of Athens for a substantial contribution to tourism development. According to ATEDCO, the company plans to further expand cooperation with other global organizations as international networking is one of the key actions of the operational plan for the emergence of Athens as an international metropolis and one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. ATEDCO, within the framework of international networking of the City of Athens in the fields of tourism and economic development, is already an official member of the European Cities Marketing and the International Congress & Conferences Association.
