The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and the Athens International Airport (AIA) signed a memorandum of cooperation last month that aims to utilize the potential of air transport, through coordinated joint actions, as a basic axis for the development of tourism products and high quality services. According to the memorandum, the cooperation framework between GNTO and AIA include the cooperation in sectors of communication/advertising promotion on issues of common interest to develop the tourism product and movement. The two parties will also have joint participation in international exhibitions, conferences and meetings and cooperation in carrying out market research. “GNTO’s strategy for cooperation with agencies in regards to the promotion of tourism in Greece, is particularly strengthened through collaboration with AIA,” a press release said.
