A total of 810 graduates will be accepted for the 2019-2020 period after the approval this week of Deputy Tourism Minister Manos Konsolas. The ministry is implementing for a second year, post-graduate educational and training programs aimed at employees and short-term unemployed in reception service, food and beverages, culinary art, confectionery and home care. The post graduate programs – with 20 percent of the positions to be filled by temporary unemployed – are aimed at upgrading services offered and the overall tourism product. “The post-graduate and training programs in tourism are aimed at upgrading the services provided and enhancing employees’ skills. This is only the beginning. We are planning a complete overhaul of tourism education and training programs with new areas of specialization,” Konsolas said.
