DESCRIPTION:The Cultural Association of Tholaria\, Amorgos and Aegialis Hotel & Spa are pleased to organize\, for the 14th consecutive year\, the YPERIA International Convention on Tourism and Culture\, on 12-17 October 2016 at Amorgos island. \nThe Convention aims to promote the natural beauty and culture of Amorgos\, foster an exchange of ideas on cultural heritage preservation\, as well as present and promote current projects on the island of Amorgos. The main scope of discussion will be “Ecology and Tradition: Prospects for the future” with the following topics:\n* Folk culture and development in small islands\n* European Hiking Trail Certification\n* Protection of nature and development in Natura network areas\n* The cultural dimension of local products\n*  Hozoviotissa Monastery of Amorgos\, in process of inclusion in UNESCO’s World Heritage List\n* Pilot reforestation project in Langada\, Amorgos\n* The local products of Amorgos\n* The promotion of tourism and culture through films \nDuring YPERIA Convention\, participants will discover the island\, walk the ancient hiking paths\, visit the historical monuments\, collect aromatic herbs from the mountains\, visit the essential oil distillery laboratory\, enjoy local products\, attend traditional festivities and get introduced to the work of different artists through exhibitions (ceramic\, photography\, handicraft). \nThe 7th International Short Tourism Film Festival of Amorgos will take place within the frame of YPERIA. \nThe Convention will be held in English. Accommodation\, food and tours on Amorgos are offered by the organizers. The participation form should be submitted no later than September 1st\, 2016.

SUMMARY:International Short Tourism Film Festival Amorgos 2016
DESCRIPTION:The International Short Tourism Film Festival Amorgos is an annual 4-day event\, with every day screenings\, held during the works of the YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nThe Festival’s main intention is to set up an international platform with a view to encouraging global tourism through audio-visual media. Every year\, the best films\, documentaries and activities that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and the implementation of green practices\, are nominated for an award. Tourism films are a good opportunity to address important issues and highlight the cultural and environmental richness of a place. \nThe International Short Tourism Film Festival was established in 2010 by the Cultural Association of Tholaria – Aegiali at the occasion of the 8th YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nThe Festival aims:\n– To contribute to the development of domestic (particularly on Amorgos and the Cyclades islands) and foreign tourism.\n– To popularize and encourage the implementation of green practices in tourism driven by the need for social responsibility and sustainable development.\n– To encourage short film production and foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among producers from around the world. \nThe festival has already launched its Call for Entries 2016 and invite filmmakers from all around the world to submit feature films\, documentaries\, shorts\, animation and experimental works.

The main goal of the consortium is to attract the attention of tour operators from all over the world towards the tourist services offered in Bulgaria and the other countries on the Balkans – Albania\, Bosnia and Herzegovina\, Greece\, Macedonia\, Romania\, Slovenia\, Serbia\, Turkey\, Montenegro and Croatia. \nThe third edition of Go2Balkans comes with new slogan : Incoming\, Outgoing & Spa! The form of the event is still an exhibition\, with possibilities for direct business meetings\, areas for presentations and professional networking. Moreover the event upgrades to two days – B2B & B2C. New type of visitors – direct clients are added\, as the second day of the exhibition will be opened for clients.
