SUMMARY:KEDE CITY CHALLENGE Crowdhackathon #smartcity
DESCRIPTION:The mission of KEDE is the continuous development and strengthening of Municipalities for the benefit of citizens and society\, as well as the promotion and support of the leading role of local authorities in order to solve problems and meet challenges at local – regional and national level. \nIn this context\, it organizes the first Application Development Marathon on technological and operational innovation in the broader field of smart cities (smartcities). The action will be held on 12-14 May in Athens with the organizational and technological support of the Greek innovation company Crowdpolicy. \nCITY CHALLENGE – crowdhackathon #smartcity is a three-day Marathon for the Development of Innovative Applications and Services\, during which participants are to develop pilot services and applications solving problems that local authorities face and supporting local and national development through new technologies. \nOfficials of the Municipalities\, young entrepreneurs\, developers\, analysts\, students and anyone interested in turning their idea on topics related to local authorities into an application can participate to the event. \nThrough the action CITY CHALLENGE – crowdhackathon #smartcity\, creative human capital is mobilized\, creativity and youth entrepreneurship are strengthened and innovation is promoted\, which results in the active contribution to the economic recovery of our country. \nAt the same time\, the social dimension of the ideas and the general philosophy of open public data actively contribute to social solidarity which is necessary nowadays. The action is part of the effort of KEDE to keep young scientists and entrepreneurs in our country and address the “brain drain” phenomenon.

SUMMARY:Eirinodromia 2017
DESCRIPTION:The Organization for Culture\, Sports & Environment of Ag. Dimitrios Municipality and the Region of Attica will organize for second year in row the “Eirinodromia 2017”\, on Sunday May 14. \nThe race will be held within the frame of festivities to the memory of Alekos Panagoulis and is a race on a public road. \nRaces will include roads of 10km\, 5km and 2\,5km and for physically challenged persons – Special Olympics\, while it will be held the “Kids’ Athletics” program of Education Ministry. \nThe start &  finish point will be in front of the municipal hall of Agios Dimitrios\, where all the events will make the race a celebration for the Peace and Sports. The Organization for Culture\, Sports & Environment of Ag. Dimitrios Municipality aims to establish this event as the annual festive dedicated to peace\, with the participation of runners\, students\, sport & cultural institutions from the entire municipality and the wide area of Attica. The races will start on 9 am. \nEirinodromia 2017 is organized in cooperation with sport club “OFKA Odysseas” of Agios Dimitrios and is under the auspices of SEGAS and SEO\, while the entire road is certified from AIMS and SEGAS as well.

DESCRIPTION:The third stop of 2017 events will be the town of Kastoria\, where the Run Greece race will be held on May 14. \nRun Greece is a recent established series of races\, cordially embraced by local societies and supported actively\, beating constantly\, in every city\, the participation record of the previous event. DESCRIPTION:The Municipality of Kea\, the Kea Municipal Utilities Company and the Region of South Aegean are co-organizing the Kea Run 2017 race\, on Sunday May 14\, at the beautiful island of Kea. \nKea Run 2017 aims to promote Kea as a tourism destination\, while all proceeds will be donated to support the island’s health center. \nThe event includes 3 races: the Kea Run 10km\, the 5km run for all and the children run of 600m distance. Details for the runs as well as their maps can be found here. \nAll winners’ prizes are a donation by the Paouris family\, since the race is held in memory of athlete Andreas Paouris (1902-1972). \nThe event management is supervised by company All About Running.
