DESCRIPTION:The 8th Athens Bike Festival will be held on 22-24 September 2017 at Technopolis\, Athens. \nFollowing the successful organisation of the previous seven Bike Festivals\, it became evident that Athens is a city with a growing cycling culture and that an annual cycling festival in the heart of the city is a must for the increasing number of cyclists. \nIn 2015\, more than 35\,000 visitors were counted at the three gates of Technopolis during the three day celebration – no one can doubt any more that there is an increasing interest for bicycles and cycling in the city. \nThe event is organised during the European Mobility Week – an awareness raising campaign aiming at sensibilising citizens to the use of public transport\, cycling\, walking and at encouraging European cities to promote these modes of transport.

They make the fair visit a fascinating event for experienced water sports athletes\, as well as for young or new groups of potential buyers. \nVisitors will also experience maritime\, motorized treasures in action in a special run of the Liquid Quarter Mile\, when classic boats will be put to the test as in earlier times and be presented to the audience at close range. \nExcitement\, games and sports is also offered by the INTERBOOT Kids and Youth Programme. DESCRIPTION:The Out Loud is co-organizing with Mykonos Municipality\, for the second year in a row\, the Mykonos Run on September 23. \nRaces have been designed in such a way to include a pass through all the main historic monuments of the Mykonos town. Moreover\, this year the Mykonos Run has been certified as a member of Association of International Marathon & Distance Races (AIMS). \nMykonos Run includes three races:\n– 10km\n– 5km\n– Kid’s run \nThe starting point of 5km route is the Mykonos New Marina (Alieftiko Katafygeio) and the starting point of 10km route is the Panagia Tourliani Monastery in Ano Mera. The finish point for both is set outside the historic building of the Municipality of Mykonos. \nRegistrations deadline is the 22nd of September.
