DESCRIPTION:The sports tourism event “Santorini Experience” that drew the attention of all sports friends and offered unique moments and emotions to professional and amateur athletes\, returns for third consecutive year on the energetic volcanic island of Santorini in the second weekend of October! \nThis year’s event program includes open water swimming from volcano to the old port of Fira. The swimming route has been designed by the Federal Technical Coach of Swimming\, awarded with Olympic and World medals in open water swimming\, Nikos Gemelos\, who will be the Technical Director of the event in swimming. Moreover\, great names of our national team\, such as the Olympic and World Champion in open water swimming\, Spyros Gianniotis and the World Champion in open water swimming\, Kelly Araouzou\, along with a many leading athletes in open water swimming like Antonis Fokaidis\, Giorgos Arniakos and Dimitris Negris will take part in this year “Santorini Experience”. \nRespectively\, various running routes will take place at the magical path that connects Oia to Fira\, overlooking the Caldera. This year’ s routes have been selected by the former marathon runner\, holder of national best performance on the classical route\, running coach\, manager of All About Running and technical director of the event in running\, Nikos Polias. \n“Santorini Experience” is a collaboration between the Municipality of Santorini\, the Municipal Sports Cultural Environmental Organization of Santorini and Active Media Group. The event is under the auspices of the Hellenic Swimming Federation\, a fact that shows its great importance. \nThis year’s video-documentary will carry forward unique images of sports tourism in Santorini\, to millions of homes in Europe\, Asia and Africa through the vast television network of FOX Sports. \nSocialize and stay up to date by following event’s official pages on facebook\, twitter\, youtube\, google+\, instagram

DESCRIPTION:Red Bull Art of Motion returns to the island of Santorini\, Greece\, the so-called freerunning paradise\, on October 7\, 2017\, for its 7th edition. \nOnce again\, the world’s top freerunners will get together on an epic course setting\, against the volcanic landscape and the infinite blue sea. Deploying their unique style in a demanding and natural track\, 14 freerunners will be competing against the course and their selves\, presenting their own unique skills through their awesome tricks\, runs and drops. \nThe field of contenders consists of the Top 6 finishers of the 2016 competition\, five participants determined by an onsite qualifier in Santorini on October 7\, and seven additional online qualifiers. \nThe final performance will be held at Golden Sunset Villas / Fanari Villas in Oia\, Santorini. \nStay up to date by following Red Bull Art of Motion facebook page.
