The forum is addressed to the destination management operators\, the academic community and professionals and aims at highlighting the best practices\, presenting researches and trends in all tourism sectors\, targeting at viability and sustainability. \n\nNOSTOS B2B meetings: With the support of the Greek Tourism Organization offices abroad\, noted Hosted Buyers participate in the exhibition by holding B2B meetings with the participating Exhibitors. The process of the meetings’ planning is completed in advance\, through a specially designed e-platform. \nNOSTOS Food Tourism: Particular focus is given on the gastronomic tourism and the Greek Cuisine. Noted chefs and professionals in the field present the new trends in the traditional cuisine proposing unique local recipes and products produced throughout the country and constitute a reference point for the Mediterranean nutrition. \nNOSTOS Events & Happenings: Events and Happenings are held at selected areas\, indoors and outdoors of NOSTOS 2017\, such as mountain bike shows\, archery shows\, kite surf events\, sup events\, horse riding lessons etc\, attracting the interest of exhibitors and visitors. \nNOSTOS for guests: Hosted Buyers\, journalists and bloggers attend the unique experience of alternative activities in the wider region of Nafpaktia. SUMMARY:SETE’s Conference 2017
DESCRIPTION:The 16th Tourism & Development Conference of SETE\, under the title “Greek Tourism: Development & Sustainability” will be held on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th of October 2017\, at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center\, Athens. \nThis year’s conference will focus on the sustainable development of tourism with economic\, social and environmental terms. During the conference will be presented the best practices of specific forms of tourism\, will be analyzed issues of spatial planning and will be researched ways for the rise of tourism impact to the society. \nSpecial emphasis will be given to the interconnection of tourism to the agri-food section and its meaning to the creation of competitive advantages for the Greek tourism product and thereby for the local communities. \nThe “Tourism & Development” conferences are established interventions of SETE to open discussions and create public dialogue on tourism and are aimed towards investors\, entrepreneurs\, senior business executives and public sector officials who aspire to have an active role in the development of Greek tourism. \nConference’s official language is Greek\, with simultaneous translation in English. \nAttendance packages & registrations are already available here. \n
