SUMMARY:Athens Photo World 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Athens Photo World\, a cultural event centred on photojournalism and its protagonists\, is presented for the very first time during 7-16 June 2019 by  Thanassis Stavrakis and his partners\, courtesy of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. \nLocals and visitors of Athens will come “face to face” with the global reality of the planet through the gaze and the work of experienced and recognised photographers. Furthermore\, the first Athens Photo World honours with its exhibitions and events photojournalist Yannis Behrakis\, focusing on his longstanding\, rich and award-winning work and his significant contribution to both Greek and international photojournalism. \nThe event aims to showcase the work of photojournalists and their contribution to shaping the image of our world and documenting moments of history in the making\, in times of political and social upheaval and reclassification. At the same time\, an intended purpose is to showcase Athens as the meeting point of photographers at a time of rapid transmission of images\, news and developments. \nThe arrow head of Athens Photo World will be the annual honouree\, a prestigious photojournalist\, whose work will be presented to the SNFCC with parallel events\, discussions with selected guests and direct interaction with the public. \nAt the same time\, the World Press Photo Exhibition for 2019 will be presented at the SNFCC. The Greek capital for the next three years will be the first stop of the world’s most important photo exhibition. Meanwhile\, in key areas of the centre of Athens will be exhibited a series of selected photos of the Associated Press agency as well as the photos of important and acclaimed Greek photographers . \nCheck here the program in details.

SUMMARY:Greek Maritime Golf Event 2019
DESCRIPTION:The top golf tournament for the shipping community “Greek Maritime Golf Event“\, following its four successful years and its great appeal in the field of Greek and global shipping industry\, returns for the 5th consecutive year at Costa Navarino during 8-9 June 2019. \nGolf enthusiasts activated in the Greek shipping industry will have the chance to compete in the two signature 18-hole courses\, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course\, in a landscape full of centuries-old olive trees with stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the historic Bay of Navarino. \nParticipants will form teams of four golfers and compete at both team and individual levels in a shotgun scramble that will take place on Saturday\, June 8th. Teams participating will claim the prizes for the top three positions in the overall standings; while special awards will be given to individual players who will achieve the best scores in the special categories “Longest Drive“and”Closest to the Pin“. \nThe 5th Greek Maritime Golf Event will reinforce the union “Mazi gia to Paidi” (“Together for Children”) in two ways: \na) During the shotgun scramble\, to be held on Saturday\, June 8th\, morning\, players participating in the tournament can offer the amount they wish to support the good cause of the event. Specifically\, golfers will be able to buy up to 3 extra efforts at the 10 hole of The Dunes Course. \nb) During this year’s award ceremony participants will have the opportunity to contribute directly the amount they wish at the specially designed area. \nThe amount to be collected in total will be given to the union of non-profit NGOs “Mazi gia to Paidi” that works since 1996 and supports more than 30.000 children\, on an annual basis\, including more than 10.000 direct beneficiaries. Its main aim is to support children and young people in need\, particularly those facing poverty\, social exclusion\, domestic violence\, chronic diseases\, mental or physical disabilities or the sickness or death of an immediate family member. \nThe “Greek Maritime Golf Event“\, is organized by Golf Events 18\, an initiative of the recognized Greek PGA golfers\, Mr. Panagiotis and Mr. Thanos Karantzias. DESCRIPTION:The Fertility Festival\, a special event for Assisted Reproduction and Infertility\, will be held for the first time in Greece during 8-9 June 2019 in Zappeion Megaron\, Athens. \nThe 1st Fertility Festival will be a pole of attraction for scientists and professionals in the field of in vitro fertilization\, major Medical Facilitators and Specialized Tour Operators from all over the world as well as International and Hellenic Scientific Organizations in the field of Assisted Reproduction\, with a large number of members. \nThe aim of the event is to have a rich scientific background program with the participation of distinguished speakers\, with newer data and developments\,B2B meetings of all professionals involved\, exhibition for the public and informing them\, while the event will be closed with a “Fertility Parade” of philanthropic nature\, the income of which will be allocated to the treatment of infertility couples. \nThe 1st Fertility Festival  is organized by the International Health Tourism Center in collaboration with the Health Tourism Greece and the Welcome Travel\, and will be held under the auspices of ELITOUR\, Athens Medical Association\, the Global Greek Doctors’ Institute and FedHatta. \nThe 8th June is a day for the Health Professionals and people related to the health and fertility industry.
