SUMMARY:Navarino Challenge 2019
DESCRIPTION:This year’s event will take place during 11-13 October 2019\, in Messinia and Costa Navarino\, anticipating hundreds of professional and amateur athletes\, who will take part in its numerous activities. \nThe multi-awarded sports tourism event\, that promotes sports and fair play as its main goal\, will be\, once again\, full of activities for all ages. \nNavarino Challenge follows\, as every year\, the ideals of the Olympic Movement\, which is to educate youth through sports\, without discrimination and in keeping with the Olympic spirit of fair play. Messinia has started spreading the message “Sports unite people” around the world with the participation of Olympic athletes and hall of famers. \nNavarino Challenge allows participants to be informed and involved in its activities to support the sacred goal of combating childhood obesity through exercise and awareness of the benefits of a Mediterranean diet. \nThis year\, the event will further promote charity by supporting: a) the Institute of Preventive Medicine\, Environmental and Occupational Health\, Prolepsis with a program on Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition\, DIATROFI. \nAdditionally\, the Captain Vasilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation will support b) WWF Hellas and c) Karkinaki. All participants can contribute any sum they wish through the GivenGain online platform. \nNavarino Challenge\, with the most Olympic athletes ever participating as ambassadors in a sports event\, returns again to Messinia\, including more than 30 sports activities (more than 12 Olympic sports). Running and swimming being examples of the sports featured. \nFurthermore\, the basketball legend Nick Galis\, the first Greek basketball player who joined the Hall of Fame will attend the 7th Navarino Challenge. \nCheck here this year’s routes. \nThe registration for the multi-awarded sports tourism event is open and those interested can participate\, filling the special form\, available here. SUMMARY:Run Greece Rhodes 2019
DESCRIPTION:The last stop of 2019’s event series will be the town of Rhodes\, where the Run Greece race will be held on October 13. \nIn 2019 the Run Greece events’ series is refreshed with a new functional design and a new look with the update of the marking and the races’ presentation. \nIn the same time reinforce its character by reducing the printings while focus on social responsibility issues\, on its establishment to a tourism event for every host town and with a bigger social media engagement. \nRun Greece is a recently established series of races\, cordially embraced by local societies and supported actively\, constantly surpassing the participation record of the previous event in each city.
