DESCRIPTION:Santorini Experience\, which highlights the island’s special alternative forms of tourism such as cultural\, sports and sea tourism\, returns dynamically after two years of the pandemic\, featuring new impressive running routes to accompany the established and unique open water swimming route. \nAmateur and professional swimmers and runners from around the world will visit Santorini\, one of the world’s top tourist destinations\, on September 23-25\, 2022. \nThe event will feature the following races: \n\n“Daedalic Kore of Thira” Half-marathon\n“Aristides Alafouzos” 5km run\n“L & E Nomikos” 1\,5miles Open Water Swimming route from the Volcano\n\nSantorini Experience is organized by the Municipality of Thira\, the Region of South Aegean and the Sports Tourism department of ActiveMedia Group and is assisted by Santorini Boatmen’s Association\, Lifeguard Patrol and Voluntary Lifeguards of Santorini. \nThe event will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism\, the General Secretariat of Sports of the Ministry of Culture and Sports\, the Greek National Tourism Organization and the Hellenic Swimming Federation.

DESCRIPTION:The SUP-surf Sports Association of Heraklion\, the Municipal Societe Anonyme of Agios Nikolaos\, the Nautical Sports Association of Agios Nikolaos and the Municipal Cultural and Sports Organization of Agios Nikolaos in collaboration with the Region of Crete\, organize an international intercollegiate STAND-UP PADDLING (SUP) race\, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2022. The event will be held in parallel with the Cliff Diving event at the Lake of Agios Nikolaos. \nProfessional and amateur athletes from all over the world and Greece will meet in the Greek capital of SUP\, for exciting competitions\, WITH GRAND PRIZES OF €6.000! \nThis is the 7th edition of the event and\, using the previous experience\, all the conditions have been formed for the participants to live a high-quality SUP show and for the visitors to enjoy a magnificent spectacle. \nAgios Nikolaos on SUP\, that will last two days\, will be held at the sea area between Plaka\, Elounda\, Agios Nikolaos Marina\, and Kalo Chorio\, depending on the weather conditions.
