SUMMARY:Φεστιβάλ Ρεμπέτικου "Η Σύρα του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη"
DESCRIPTION:Το Φεστιβάλ Ρεμπέτικου “Η Σύρα του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη” υποδέχεται για έκτη χρονιά τους λάτρεις του είδους από την Ελλάδα και όλο τον κόσμο\, στο διάστημα από 29 Αυγούστου έως 2 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022. \nΤο 2022 είναι μια ξεχωριστή χρονιά για το Φεστιβάλ\, καθώς συμπίπτει με την εκατοστή επέτειο της Μικρασιατικής Καταστροφής και τα 50 χρόνια από το θάνατο του Συριανού. \nΟι συνέπειες της Μικρασιατικής Καταστροφής επέδρασαν καθοριστικά όχι μόνο στα μεγάλα εθνικά θέματα\, αλλά και στην εξέλιξη της αστικής λαϊκής μουσικής\, η οποία επηρεάστηκε\, ενισχύθηκε και εμπλουτίστηκε τόσο με έμψυχο υλικό όσο και με μουσικές φόρμες που ήρθαν από τα παράλια της Μικράς Ασίας\, πολλές φορές ως μοναδικές αποσκευές των ξεριζωμένων. Μέσα από τον κόσμο αυτό που ήταν ξένος στην Τουρκία και ξένος εδώ\, ξεχώρισαν διανοούμενοι\, επιχειρηματίες\, αλλά και ανυπέρβλητες μουσικές ιδιοφυίες που αναφέρονται με δέος και σεβασμό μέχρι σήμερα και ως τέτοιες θα αναφέρονται στο διηνεκές. \nΣταδιακά\, οι περισσότεροι από τους εκπροσώπους της Μικρασιατικής Σχολής προσαρμόζονται και εντάσσονται στο νέο ρεύμα που δημιουργεί η λεγόμενη “Πειραιώτικη” Σχολή με πρύτανη τον Μάρκο Βαμβακάρη. Τον Συριανό που το παίξιμο του\, οι φόρμες και το ύφος του αποτέλεσαν τον ακρογωνιαίο λίθο αυτού του τεράστιου οικοδομήματος της λαϊκής μας μουσικής. \nΔρώμενα Φεστιβάλ\n– Οι συμμετέχοντες καλλιτέχνες Μαρία  Κατινάρη & Γιώργος Ζορμπάς και το τοπικό σχήμα Ηλίανθος θα εστιάσουν στην εποχή των πρώτων δεκαετιών του 20ου αιώνα κατά την οποία κυριάρχησε το μικρασιατικό ύφος.\n– Συναυλία του τμήματος σαντουριών του Αναγνωστηρίου Αγιάσου Λέσβου\, ενός από τους παλαιότερους πολιτιστικούς φορείς της χώρας με πλούσιο έργο και σημαντικό αρχείο.\n– Το μουσικό εργαστήρι με εισηγητή τον Πέτρο Κουλουμή και με θέμα την τεχνοτροπία και την υφολογική προσέγγιση της Μικρασιατικής Σχολής.\n– Συναυλίες από τους Rebeti καθώς και τα τοπικά σχήματα Εστουδιαντίνα Κυκλάδων\, Σαμπάχ\, οι Χου και οι Εν Χορδαίς και Οργάνοις με αναφορές -αλλά όχι αποκλειστικά- στο έργο του μεγάλου λαϊκού βάρδου Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη παρουσιάζοντας επιρροές\, αλληλεπιδράσεις με άλλα είδη και συνεργασίες με άλλους συνθέτες.\n– Έκθεση λαϊκών μουσικών οργάνων\, στην οποία θα εκθέσουν τις δημιουργίες τους μερικοί από τους πιο σημαντικούς έλληνες οργανοποιούς που αφενός διασώζουν έως σήμερα την τεχνογνωσία και την παράδοση της χειροποίητης κατασκευής\, αφετέρου έχουν εισαγάγει καινοτομίες στη χρήση υλικών\, στην ανάπτυξη τεχνικών και εργαλείων: Γαλανός Νίκος\, Γουλιέλμος Άδωνις\, Δέλλιος Ανδρέας\, Καδόγλου Γιάννης\, Κατσιφής Τάσος\, Μιλτιάδου Σάββας\, Παΐσιος Νίκος\, Πολυταρίδης Γιώργος\, Στάμκος Παναγιώτης\, Στεφανίδης Γρηγόρης\, Σχοινάς Δημήτρης\, Τσιώλης Μάκης\, Τσουλόγιαννης Γιάννης\, Φρονιμόπουλος Νίκος. \nΤο ρεμπέτικο έχει καταχωρηθεί στο Εθνικό Ευρετήριο Άυλης Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς το 2015\, στον αντιπροσωπευτικό κατάλογο Άυλης Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς της Ανθρωπότητας της UNESCO το 2017\, ενώ το Φεστιβάλ “Η Σύρα του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη” έχει καταχωρηθεί στο Ευρετήριο Ευρωπαϊκών Φεστιβάλ και έχει λάβει το EFFE LABEL. \nΤο Φεστιβάλ τελεί υπό την Αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού και της Γενικής Γραμματείας Αιγαίου και Νησιωτικής Πολιτικής και συνδιοργανώνεται από τον Δήμο Σύρου-Ερμούπολης και την Κυκλαδική Εταιρεία Ανάπτυξης (ΚΕΤΑΝ) του Επιμελητηρίου Κυκλάδων. \nΗ είσοδος σε όλες τις εκδηλώσεις του Φεστιβάλ είναι ελεύθερη και θα γίνεται κατόπιν ηλεκτρονικής κράτησης\, μέσω της ηλεκτρονικής πλατφόρμας κρατήσεων eventbrite.

SUMMARY:Amorgos Tourism Film Festival 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Amorgos Tourism Film Festival is an annual 4-day event\, with every day screenings\, held during the works of the YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nAs of 2017\, the Amorgos Festival is a member of the international organization CIFFT\, based in Vienna. The festival has daily projections during the Yperia Conference\, at Aegialis Hotel & Spa. Each year\, it awards the best choices of documentaries\, and travel films\, that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and to the implementation of green practices. \nThe Festival’s main intention is to set up an international platform with a view to encouraging global tourism through audio-visual media. Every year\, the best films\, documentaries and activities that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and the implementation of green practices\, are nominated for an award. Tourism films are a good opportunity to address important issues and highlight the cultural and environmental richness of a place. \nFor the 4th year the Festival hosts the tribute “Youth & Employment\, Women &  Employment” is implemented through the Operational Program & Human Resources Development\, Education and Lifelong Learning and is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greek state. Its co-funded projects deal mostly with the improvement of education and employment in Greece. Its main targets relate to the development and promotion of human resources skills\, activities against unemployment\, strengthen social cohesion and social inclusion of vulnerable social groups\, improvement of the quality of education & lifelong learning\, awareness on environmental education\, linking education with the labor market. The film tribute has free admission and it’s accessible to disabled people. \nThe Festival aims:\n– To contribute to the development of domestic (particularly on Amorgos and the Cyclades islands) and foreign tourism.\n– To popularize and encourage the implementation of green practices in tourism driven by the need for social responsibility and sustainable development.\n– To encourage short film production and foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among producers from around the world. \nEvery year the Festival awards the best tourism films and documentaries\, selected by an international jury team. \nThe festival is organized by the Cultural Association of Women of Amorgos in cooperation with the Municipality of Amorgos and the South Aegean Region. \nEntries are already opened until 20th of August 2019 via festival’s official web page and film freeway platform and the submission of Greek production is free of charge. Furthermore\, the first Athens Photo World honours with its exhibitions and events photojournalist Yannis Behrakis\, focusing on his longstanding\, rich and award-winning work and his significant contribution to both Greek and international photojournalism. \nThe event aims to showcase the work of photojournalists and their contribution to shaping the image of our world and documenting moments of history in the making\, in times of political and social upheaval and reclassification. At the same time\, an intended purpose is to showcase Athens as the meeting point of photographers at a time of rapid transmission of images\, news and developments. \nThe arrow head of Athens Photo World will be the annual honouree\, a prestigious photojournalist\, whose work will be presented to the SNFCC with parallel events\, discussions with selected guests and direct interaction with the public. \nAt the same time\, the World Press Photo Exhibition for 2019 will be presented at the SNFCC. The Greek capital for the next three years will be the first stop of the world’s most important photo exhibition. Each year\, it awards the best choices of documentaries\, and travel films\, that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and to the implementation of green practices. \nThe Festival’s main intention is to set up an international platform with a view to encouraging global tourism through audio-visual media. Every year\, the best films\, documentaries and activities that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and the implementation of green practices\, are nominated for an award. Tourism films are a good opportunity to address important issues and highlight the cultural and environmental richness of a place. \nFor the 3rd year the Festival hosts the tribute “Youth & Employment\, Women &  Employment” is implemented through the Operational Program & Human Resources Development\, Education and Lifelong Learning and is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and Greek state. Its co-funded projects deal mostly with the improvement of education and employment in Greece. Its main targets relate to the development and promotion of human resources skills\, activities against unemployment\, strengthen social cohesion and social inclusion of vulnerable social groups\, improvement of the quality of education & lifelong learning\, awareness on environmental education\, linking education with the labor market. The film tribute has free admission and it’s accessible to disabled people. \nThe Festival aims:\n– To contribute to the development of domestic (particularly on Amorgos and the Cyclades islands) and foreign tourism.\n– To popularize and encourage the implementation of green practices in tourism driven by the need for social responsibility and sustainable development.\n– To encourage short film production and foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among producers from around the world. \nIn the frame of the  9th  Amorgos Tourism Film Festival\, a Film Academy will be organized for students and young people. Their films will promote the local Cuisine\, Culture and spectacular beauty of the island. \nEvery year the Festival  awards the best tourism films and documentaries\, selected by an international jury team. \nThe festival is organized by the Cultural Association of Women of Amorgos in cooperation with the Municipality of Amorgos and the South Aegean Region.

DESCRIPTION:The Aegina Fistiki Fest will take place for the 10th consecutive year on 13-16 September 2018\, organised by the Municipality of Aegina in collaboration with local producers. \nWith “Sweet Pistachio” Aegina welcome the visitors to this year’s festival. It is a theatrical presentation which will take you back in time to the 1960s\, creating a vintage atmosphere along with the orchestra of traditional instruments and local dance groups. \nApart from the trade exhibition along the coastline of Aegina’s town\, the Aegina Fistiki Fest includes gastronomy events\, creative activities\, workshops for children\, concerts\, seminars etc. \nThe fest is dedicated to the internationally known Pistachio (Fistiki) of Aegina Island (a Protected Designation of Origin product) with its unique taste and quality. It takes place every year since 2009 in the middle of September\, when the pistachio’s harvest is completed.

DESCRIPTION:The International Film Festival of Larissa/Artfools Festival is organized by the cultural non-profit organization Artfools and takes place in the city of Larissa every year on the last day of February under the aegis of the Thessaly Region. \nIt’s one of the most important regional film festivals and every year gathers much of attendees from Greece and abroad.  Its program includes: \n1. Greek & International short films competition\n2. Greek & international student films competition\n3. Activities\, workshops\, masterclass\, exhibitions\, etc. \nThe organizational committee schedules and presents ten days of screenings\, happenings\, cinema workshops and master classes. Every season\, the International Film Festival of Larissa hosts significant cinema personalities\, producing special screenings based on their overall work in the field of cinema. \nThe 9th International Film Festival of Larissa is dedicated to the art of acting\, under the title “Making ethos” and will host actors/actresses with significant presence in cinema. \nThis year is organized for the first time the Fashion Film Festival. It will be held on 21-23 February\, in cooperation to French Institute of Larissa\, with many surprises and films. Fashion Film Festival aims to present the fashion world and its connection to cinema through a series of events and films. \nIn its first day will be held a discussion panel with persons from fashion & cinema on the topic of “searching the boundaries between fashion and cinema\, between the trade and cinema costume.” Honored guests and main speakers will be Mr Lakis Gavalas and Mrs George Limnaios\, graduate of Instituto Superiore di Design of Naples\, Italy. An amazing event will follow the discussion. Films from the glamorous and dark world of fashion will be preformed on the second day in parallel to make up & photography workshops. The road is some 2\,2km through the town\, with start point the Skripou Square and end point the Iroon Square. \nThe MaskaRun is organized by the Cultural Traditional Club of Orchomenos in cooperation with the website www.asopichos.gr\, as the inspirator of the event is Mr Babis Zannias\, journalist and owner of the above mentioned website. The event is supported by the Orchomenos Municipality\, Motor Club of Orchomenos and much more local institutions and companies.

DESCRIPTION:The International Short Tourism Film Festival Amorgos is an annual 4-day event\, with every day screenings\, held during the works of the YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nThe Festival’s main intention is to set up an international platform with a view to encouraging global tourism through audio-visual media. Every year\, the best films\, documentaries and activities that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and the implementation of green practices\, are nominated for an award. Tourism films are a good opportunity to address important issues and highlight the cultural and environmental richness of a place. \nThe International Short Tourism Film Festival was established in 2010 by the Cultural Association of Tholaria – Aegiali at the occasion of the 8th YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nThe Festival aims:\n– To contribute to the development of domestic (particularly on Amorgos and the Cyclades islands) and foreign tourism.\n– To popularize and encourage the implementation of green practices in tourism driven by the need for social responsibility and sustainable development.\n– To encourage short film production and foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among producers from around the world. \nThe festival has already launched its Call for Entries 2016 and invite filmmakers from all around the world to submit feature films\, documentaries\, shorts\, animation and experimental works.

DESCRIPTION:El Cuor No Se Vende (Heart isn’t for sale) is the moto that inspired Didier Guillon\, President and Artistic Director of the Valmont Group\, for his second exhibition at the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra\, which will be held from July 1st to August 31st. \nFrom a very young age\, Didier Guillon discovered art and its subtleties\, became an collector of contemporary art\, guided only by his passion\, talent and inspiration. His philosophy and approach to art through his heart\, turn today in a genuine manifesto against speculation and rampant mercantilism\, in a real art exhibition. \nThe “El Cuor No Se Vende” exhibition is a pure\, ethical and aesthetic approach of art meeting the beauty to highlight as unique stars the elegance and the freedom. \nThe art works to be displayed down at the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra\, were not subjected to the selection of this last quarter of the century’s artistic production\, a process that is so usually cherished it’s become mundane. \nVisitors are invited to go and discover new talents such as Isao Llorens\, Quentin Garel\, Lee Jung Woong and Yves Bélorgey. These artists’ works all conquered the heart of the exhibition’s curator\, as they bear no speculation and seem to all be all united by a common thread. A thread made out of creative ethics\, a true conspicuous comeback to craftmanship in the artistic work\, and a certain sense of contempt for any need of a creative justification. \n
