SUMMARY:International Film Festival of Larissa 2017
DESCRIPTION:The International Film Festival of Larissa/Artfools Festival is organized by the cultural non-profit organization Artfools and takes place in the city of Larissa every year on the last day of February under the aegis of the Thessaly Region. \nIt’s one of the most important regional film festivals and every year gathers much of attendees from Greece and abroad.  Its program includes: \n1. Greek & International short films competition\n2. Greek & international student films competition\n3. Activities\, workshops\, masterclass\, exhibitions\, etc. \nThe organizational committee schedules and presents ten days of screenings\, happenings\, cinema workshops and master classes. Every season\, the International Film Festival of Larissa hosts significant cinema personalities\, producing special screenings based on their overall work in the field of cinema. \nThe 9th International Film Festival of Larissa is dedicated to the art of acting\, under the title “Making ethos” and will host actors/actresses with significant presence in cinema. \nThis year is organized for the first time the Fashion Film Festival. It will be held on 21-23 February\, in cooperation to French Institute of Larissa\, with many surprises and films. Fashion Film Festival aims to present the fashion world and its connection to cinema through a series of events and films. \nIn its first day will be held a discussion panel with persons from fashion & cinema on the topic of “searching the boundaries between fashion and cinema\, between the trade and cinema costume.” Honored guests and main speakers will be Mr Lakis Gavalas and Mrs George Limnaios\, graduate of Instituto Superiore di Design of Naples\, Italy. An amazing event will follow the discussion. Films from the glamorous and dark world of fashion will be preformed on the second day in parallel to make up & photography workshops.
