DESCRIPTION:The 15th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST2017) will be held on the island of Rhodes from 31st August to 2nd September 2017. \nThe International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology is one of the worldwide leading environmental conferences. This biennial conference brings together engineers\, scientists\, researchers\, students\, managers and other professionals in order to address and discuss emerging environmental issues. The main aim of the conference is the presentation of state-of-the art research and innovative technologies to address local and international critical environmental issues. A wide range of topics are presented while addressing the new opportunities for the emerging science-policy interface promoting the dialogue between the scientific and policy-making communities. \nThe success of this conference reflects the critical environmental topics that are discussed as well as the quality of the presented papers. All the papers that are selected for either oral or poster presentation undergo a review process. As a result of the improving quality of the papers in previous conferences\, their proceedings have been included in databases\, such as Science Citation Index (ISI) and SRCosmos. \nThe conference is supported by the University of the Aegean (Greece)\, together with the University of Salerno (Italy) and the Imperial College London (UK). The main organizer is the multi-disciplinary Global NEST (Network of Environmental Science and Technology); an international scientific movement that has been successfully developing for the last 29 years with members from more than 60 countries. Global NEST is an international scientific movement focusing on innovative environmental issues.

DESCRIPTION:The Aegina Fistiki Fest will take place for the 9th consecutive year on 14-17 September 2017\, organised by the Municipality of Aegina in collaboration with Region of Attica & local producers. \nWith “Sweet Pistachio” Aegina welcome the visitors to this year’s festival. It is a theatrical presentation which will take you back in time to the 1960s\, creating a vintage atmosphere along with the orchestra of traditional instruments and local dance groups. \nApart from the trade exhibition along the coastline of Aegina’s town\, the Aegina Fistiki Fest includes gastronomy events\, creative activities\, workshops for children\, concerts\, seminars etc. \nThe fest is dedicated to the internationally known Pistachio (Fistiki) of Aegina Island (a Protected Designation of Origin product) with its unique taste and quality. DESCRIPTION:The 8th Athens Bike Festival will be held on 22-24 September 2017 at Technopolis\, Athens. \nFollowing the successful organisation of the previous seven Bike Festivals\, it became evident that Athens is a city with a growing cycling culture and that an annual cycling festival in the heart of the city is a must for the increasing number of cyclists. \nIn 2015\, more than 35\,000 visitors were counted at the three gates of Technopolis during the three day celebration – no one can doubt any more that there is an increasing interest for bicycles and cycling in the city. \nThe event is organised during the European Mobility Week – an awareness raising campaign aiming at sensibilising citizens to the use of public transport\, cycling\, walking and at encouraging European cities to promote these modes of transport.

DESCRIPTION:INTERBOOT\, the international water sports exhibition\, will be held on 23 September – 1 October 2017 in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance\, Germany. \nFor nine days\, nearly 500 leading brands from 20 countries will exhibit their innovative products in six categories: Sailing boat\, Motorboat\, Trendsport\, Travel and charter\, Harbour and sport\, Youth@Interboot. \nMore than 86\,000 buyers are expected to attend the event again\, which will present them with exclusive events and product-testing opportunities. \nA varied entertainment programme\, organized with the help of the INTERBOOT SPORTS GROUP\, amongst others\, comprises every year about 500 events to join in and cheer on. They make the fair visit a fascinating event for experienced water sports athletes\, as well as for young or new groups of potential buyers. \nVisitors will also experience maritime\, motorized treasures in action in a special run of the Liquid Quarter Mile\, when classic boats will be put to the test as in earlier times and be presented to the audience at close range. \nExcitement\, games and sports is also offered by the INTERBOOT Kids and Youth Programme. While the very little ones happily play at the Maritime nursery school\, the older ones have the opportunity to live water sports very closely: they can gain a certificate for their dinghy ride on the Exhibiton-Lake\, take the rudder at the Mini 12-Sailing or experience their first dive.
