DESCRIPTION:On September 2\, Chronosystems\, in cooperation with Life Racing and with the support of Syros Runners and the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupoli\, will organize the “Syros City Trail”\, the 3rd city trail running race in Syros\, an important athletic event for the island. \nParticipants can choose one of three routes: A 10k route for experienced athletes\, a 4k route for new runners and a 1k route for kids. The aim is to promote the historical and cultural heritage of Ermoupoli\, the island’s capital\, via a running and walking event. \n10km race\nThe length of the longer route is 10km with elevation of 320m. 95% of the terrain consists of stone paved alleys and steps and 5% of asphalt. The start time is at 6:00 pm in the Town Hall Square. \n4km race\nThe length of the shorter route is 4km with elevation of 110m. 98% of the terrain consists of stone paved alleys and steps and 2% of asphalt. SUMMARY:Amorgos Trail Challenge 2017
DESCRIPTION:For the first time this year the Cyclades Trail Cup sport series will include in its program the island of Amorgos. The event is organized by Amorgos Diving Center\, Vigla Hotel\, Askas Pension and Sophia Vlavianou. \nAmorgos Trail Challenge will include two main races of 18km and 7.5km at the Aegiali village on Amorgos. \nAlongside\, will be a held the “Spike” race. This is the first race of such a type ever to take place in Greece. Runners taking part to this race will start their ascent at sea level and head for the highest peak of Nikouria island. The challenge will be to reach the checkpoint at the top\, receive a special stamp from the organizer and begin their descent to the finish line on the beach. DESCRIPTION:The 8th Athens Bike Festival will be held on 22-24 September 2017 at Technopolis\, Athens. \nFollowing the successful organisation of the previous seven Bike Festivals\, it became evident that Athens is a city with a growing cycling culture and that an annual cycling festival in the heart of the city is a must for the increasing number of cyclists. \nIn 2015\, more than 35\,000 visitors were counted at the three gates of Technopolis during the three day celebration – no one can doubt any more that there is an increasing interest for bicycles and cycling in the city. \nThe event is organised during the European Mobility Week – an awareness raising campaign aiming at sensibilising citizens to the use of public transport\, cycling\, walking and at encouraging European cities to promote these modes of transport.

DESCRIPTION:INTERBOOT\, the international water sports exhibition\, will be held on 23 September – 1 October 2017 in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance\, Germany. \nFor nine days\, nearly 500 leading brands from 20 countries will exhibit their innovative products in six categories: Sailing boat\, Motorboat\, Trendsport\, Travel and charter\, Harbour and sport\, Youth@Interboot. \nMore than 86\,000 buyers are expected to attend the event again\, which will present them with exclusive events and product-testing opportunities. \nA varied entertainment programme\, organized with the help of the INTERBOOT SPORTS GROUP\, amongst others\, comprises every year about 500 events to join in and cheer on. They make the fair visit a fascinating event for experienced water sports athletes\, as well as for young or new groups of potential buyers. \nVisitors will also experience maritime\, motorized treasures in action in a special run of the Liquid Quarter Mile\, when classic boats will be put to the test as in earlier times and be presented to the audience at close range. \nExcitement\, games and sports is also offered by the INTERBOOT Kids and Youth Programme. While the very little ones happily play at the Maritime nursery school\, the older ones have the opportunity to live water sports very closely: they can gain a certificate for their dinghy ride on the Exhibiton-Lake\, take the rudder at the Mini 12-Sailing or experience their first dive.
