SUMMARY:International Short Tourism Film Festival 2017
DESCRIPTION:The International Short Tourism Film Festival Amorgos is an annual 4-day event\, with every day screenings\, held during the works of the YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nThe Festival’s main intention is to set up an international platform with a view to encouraging global tourism through audio-visual media. Every year\, the best films\, documentaries and activities that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and the implementation of green practices\, are nominated for an award. Tourism films are a good opportunity to address important issues and highlight the cultural and environmental richness of a place. \nThe International Short Tourism Film Festival was established in 2010 by the Cultural Association of Tholaria – Aegiali on the occasion of the 8th YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism. \nThe Festival aims:\n– To contribute to the development of domestic (particularly on Amorgos and the Cyclades islands) and foreign tourism.\n– To popularize and encourage the implementation of green practices in tourism driven by the need for social responsibility and sustainable development.\n– To encourage short film production and foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among producers from around the world. \nThe festival has already launched its Call for Entries 2017 and invite filmmakers from all around the world to submit feature films\, documentaries\, shorts\, animation and experimental works. This year the Film Festival of Amorgos has the privilege to be an official member  to CIFFT (Comité International des Festivals du Film Touristique).

SUMMARY:Donousa Mountain Run 2017
DESCRIPTION:Cyclades Trail Cup will incorporate for the first time this year the Donousa Circuit Race. \nThe event is scheduled to be held on October 28 and includes two trail races:  15km with an ascent of 730m and 3\,5km with an ascent of 110m. \nThe 15km route is circular and is a trail around the Donousa island. The 3\,5km route is also circular but is more easy as it’s passable from everyone. Start & end point for both routes will be the Stavros village. \nRunners will run all the traditional footpaths that consist the Donousa Cultural Interest’s Routes Network \, in a Cycladic landscape and through all four villages of the island. This will allow participants to get know the island\, its natural beauties and its inhabitants. \nThe race is co-organized by the cultural environmental club of Donousa “Poseidon”\, the Region of Aegean and the Union of Donousa’s people of Cyclades with the support of  Donousa Community and the Trade Association of Donousa. \nStay up to date by following event’s facebook page.
