DESCRIPTION:The Greek Tourism Workshop events’ series were created aiming to promote the tourism product of Greece in the Arabian and Asian countries and reinforce the potential and value of Greece in their markets. \nThe Greek Tourism Workshop addresses to Greek entrepreneurs of the travel industry aiming to infiltrate and establish dynamically their presence in the Arabian countries. \nIt is an initiative held from both Tourism Today Events and Mideast Travel. Its aim is the dynamic penetration of Greece in the constantly developing tourism market. \nThe first event in the 2018 will be held in Kuwait on February 21. The workshop will include presentations of Greek destinations to selected local tourism enterprises and media\, while meetings with Iranian government executives have also been scheduled. In parallel\, will be business to business meetings between Greek tourism companies and regional tour operators and travel agencies. \nThe Greek Tourism Workshop is held under the auspices of the Tourism Ministry of Greece and the Greek Embassy in Kuwait.

DESCRIPTION:The countdown to the 2nd Messinia Pro-Am tournament at Costa Navarino has begun. The Dunes Course and The Bay Course are set amidst the eternal olive trees overlooking the stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the Bay of Navarino. \nThe total prize fund of the 2nd Messinia Pro Am is €50\,000 and is the 2nd biggest fund in golf tournaments in Europe. Messinia Pro-Am supports a charity cause\, the SOS Children’s Villages that create families for children in need\, help them shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities. SOS Children’s Villages support children who are orphaned\, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for them and enable children to live according to their own culture and religion\, and to be active members of the community. \nThis year Costa Navarino is proud to have been selected by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) as the ‘European Golf Resort of the Year 2017’. DESCRIPTION:Greek Hospitality Awards rewards excellence in the sector of Greek Hotels through a fair and transparent process\, in which a Judging Committee consisting of esteemed and carefully selected members as well as the audience participate with a 60/40 voting ratio. \nThe Awards are open to all hotel businesses in Greece that have an Operating License by the Greek National Tourism Organization. Each participating company may be nominated in as many categories as it chooses. \nThe event is under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism\, Hellenic Hotel Federation\, General Panhellenic Federation of Tourism Enterprises\, TIF-Helexpo and the awards ceremony will take place on February 23 at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso\, in Vouliagmeni.

To sustain this growth in a way that is consistent with the goals of environmental sustainability and social inclusion\, massive new infrastructure investment will be required from inside and outside the sector. This includes both physical infrastructure (e.g. airlift\, road and rail transport\, ports\, streamlined borders\, accommodation\, tourist attractions\, ICT and public services) as well as soft infrastructure (e.g. human resources in hospitality\, tourism marketing and management\, disruptive technology\, and the aviation sector). To create this new infrastructure will require significant funding\, the deployment of innovative technologies and capacity-building support. \nThe importance of PPPs and institutional investors to close the infrastructure gap is taking even greater prominence in raising new capital where the public purse is stretched. Innovative new models\, where the public and private sectors as well as communities are joining forces\, are emerging across the world. The WTFL Think Tank will explore these issues from the perspective of policy makers\, investors\, private operators\, academia and other stakeholders.
