DESCRIPTION:The SUP-surf Sports Association of Heraklion\, the Municipal Societe Anonyme of Agios Nikolaos\, the Nautical Sports Association of Agios Nikolaos and the Municipal Cultural and Sports Organization of Agios Nikolaos in collaboration with the Region of Crete\, organize an international intercollegiate STAND-UP PADDLING (SUP) race\, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2022. The event will be held in parallel with the Cliff Diving event at the Lake of Agios Nikolaos. \nProfessional and amateur athletes from all over the world and Greece will meet in the Greek capital of SUP\, for exciting competitions\, WITH GRAND PRIZES OF €6.000! \nThis is the 7th edition of the event and\, using the previous experience\, all the conditions have been formed for the participants to live a high-quality SUP show and for the visitors to enjoy a magnificent spectacle. \nAgios Nikolaos on SUP\, that will last two days\, will be held at the sea area between Plaka\, Elounda\, Agios Nikolaos Marina\, and Kalo Chorio\, depending on the weather conditions. SUMMARY:Φεστιβάλ Ρεμπέτικου "Η Σύρα του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη"
DESCRIPTION:Το Φεστιβάλ Ρεμπέτικου “Η Σύρα του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη” υποδέχεται για έκτη χρονιά τους λάτρεις του είδους από την Ελλάδα και όλο τον κόσμο\, στο διάστημα από 29 Αυγούστου έως 2 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022. \nΤο 2022 είναι μια ξεχωριστή χρονιά για το Φεστιβάλ\, καθώς συμπίπτει με την εκατοστή επέτειο της Μικρασιατικής Καταστροφής και τα 50 χρόνια από το θάνατο του Συριανού. \nΟι συνέπειες της Μικρασιατικής Καταστροφής επέδρασαν καθοριστικά όχι μόνο στα μεγάλα εθνικά θέματα\, αλλά και στην εξέλιξη της αστικής λαϊκής μουσικής\, η οποία επηρεάστηκε\, ενισχύθηκε και εμπλουτίστηκε τόσο με έμψυχο υλικό όσο και με μουσικές φόρμες που ήρθαν από τα παράλια της Μικράς Ασίας\, πολλές φορές ως μοναδικές αποσκευές των ξεριζωμένων. Μέσα από τον κόσμο αυτό που ήταν ξένος στην Τουρκία και ξένος εδώ\, ξεχώρισαν διανοούμενοι\, επιχειρηματίες\, αλλά και ανυπέρβλητες μουσικές ιδιοφυίες που αναφέρονται με δέος και σεβασμό μέχρι σήμερα και ως τέτοιες θα αναφέρονται στο διηνεκές. \nΣταδιακά\, οι περισσότεροι από τους εκπροσώπους της Μικρασιατικής Σχολής προσαρμόζονται και εντάσσονται στο νέο ρεύμα που δημιουργεί η λεγόμενη “Πειραιώτικη” Σχολή με πρύτανη τον Μάρκο Βαμβακάρη. Τον Συριανό που το παίξιμο του\, οι φόρμες και το ύφος του αποτέλεσαν τον ακρογωνιαίο λίθο αυτού του τεράστιου οικοδομήματος της λαϊκής μας μουσικής. \nΔρώμενα Φεστιβάλ\n– Οι συμμετέχοντες καλλιτέχνες Μαρία  Κατινάρη & Γιώργος Ζορμπάς και το τοπικό σχήμα Ηλίανθος θα εστιάσουν στην εποχή των πρώτων δεκαετιών του 20ου αιώνα κατά την οποία κυριάρχησε το μικρασιατικό ύφος.\n– Συναυλία του τμήματος σαντουριών του Αναγνωστηρίου Αγιάσου Λέσβου\, ενός από τους παλαιότερους πολιτιστικούς φορείς της χώρας με πλούσιο έργο και σημαντικό αρχείο.\n– Το μουσικό εργαστήρι με εισηγητή τον Πέτρο Κουλουμή και με θέμα την τεχνοτροπία και την υφολογική προσέγγιση της Μικρασιατικής Σχολής.\n– Συναυλίες από τους Rebeti καθώς και τα τοπικά σχήματα Εστουδιαντίνα Κυκλάδων\, Σαμπάχ\, οι Χου και οι Εν Χορδαίς και Οργάνοις με αναφορές -αλλά όχι αποκλειστικά- στο έργο του μεγάλου λαϊκού βάρδου Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη παρουσιάζοντας επιρροές\, αλληλεπιδράσεις με άλλα είδη και συνεργασίες με άλλους συνθέτες.\n– Έκθεση λαϊκών μουσικών οργάνων\, στην οποία θα εκθέσουν τις δημιουργίες τους μερικοί από τους πιο σημαντικούς έλληνες οργανοποιούς που αφενός διασώζουν έως σήμερα την τεχνογνωσία και την παράδοση της χειροποίητης κατασκευής\, αφετέρου έχουν εισαγάγει καινοτομίες στη χρήση υλικών\, στην ανάπτυξη τεχνικών και εργαλείων: Γαλανός Νίκος\, Γουλιέλμος Άδωνις\, Δέλλιος Ανδρέας\, Καδόγλου Γιάννης\, Κατσιφής Τάσος\, Μιλτιάδου Σάββας\, Παΐσιος Νίκος\, Πολυταρίδης Γιώργος\, Στάμκος Παναγιώτης\, Στεφανίδης Γρηγόρης\, Σχοινάς Δημήτρης\, Τσιώλης Μάκης\, Τσουλόγιαννης Γιάννης\, Φρονιμόπουλος Νίκος. \nΤο ρεμπέτικο έχει καταχωρηθεί στο Εθνικό Ευρετήριο Άυλης Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς το 2015\, στον αντιπροσωπευτικό κατάλογο Άυλης Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς της Ανθρωπότητας της UNESCO το 2017\, ενώ το Φεστιβάλ “Η Σύρα του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη” έχει καταχωρηθεί στο Ευρετήριο Ευρωπαϊκών Φεστιβάλ και έχει λάβει το EFFE LABEL. \nΤο Φεστιβάλ τελεί υπό την Αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού και της Γενικής Γραμματείας Αιγαίου και Νησιωτικής Πολιτικής και συνδιοργανώνεται από τον Δήμο Σύρου-Ερμούπολης και την Κυκλαδική Εταιρεία Ανάπτυξης (ΚΕΤΑΝ) του Επιμελητηρίου Κυκλάδων. \nΗ είσοδος σε όλες τις εκδηλώσεις του Φεστιβάλ είναι ελεύθερη και θα γίνεται κατόπιν ηλεκτρονικής κράτησης\, μέσω της ηλεκτρονικής πλατφόρμας κρατήσεων eventbrite.

DESCRIPTION:The Authentic Marathon Swim race comes 2\,500 years later\, at the place where it started\, in Artemision. The authentic marathon swimming route performed by Skyllias together with his daughter Hydna revives by uniting the legend with history. \nThe great historic sporting event includes 10km\, 3km\, 1\,5km and an 800m swimming race for kids to be held on July 1-3\, 2022\, at Pefki\, Evia in the Municipality of Istiaia-Edipsos. \nThe event prioritizing the absolute safety of its athletes\, will provide everyone with a high-quality safety lifeguard buoy\, giving them an extra motive to choose The Authentic Swimming Marathon. The swimming route will be held at the straits of Artemision where the average water temperature is between 23-26 degrees Celsius. Specialized lifeguards and lifeboats will contribute to the safety of the race. Different categories will be formed for swimmers depending on the total number of participants\, while a separate category will be formed for those wearing wetsuits in the 3km and 1.5 categories. The event offers race timing for all swimmers. The Authentic Marathon Swim will be held with the approval of the Hellenic Swimming Federation\, according to FINA regulations. \nThe noteworthy event will be honored by the presence of the silver Olympic medalist\, world champion in open water swimming and member of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame\, Spyros Gianniotis. Prominent personalities of international swimming will take part at The Authentic Marathon Swim. According to Herodotus\, the story of Skyllias and Hydna explains that in 480 B.C. they were arrested by Persians and boarded onto their ships\, as the Persians wanted to use the pair of proficient divers for an extensive exploration of underwater treasures from shipwrecks of that time and age. Subsequently\, the historical swimmers realized that Persians planned on using them in an upcoming naval combat in Artemision\, meaning that Skyllias and Hydna would have to face their Greek compatriots. The Ancient-Greek heroes jumped into the sea\, sliced the ropes from the anchors of Persian ships and started swimming towards Artemision in order to inform the Greek Naval Forces. The historical achievements of Skyllias and Hydna have been recorded from Herodotus\, “The Father of History”\, who has praised them for their unique swimming ability and the importance of the information they offered to the Greeks\, allowing the Naval Forces to prepare for their upcoming Battle of Salamis and their eventual triumph.
