DESCRIPTION:Andros Trail Race\, that will take place during September 28-29 on Andros island\, is the biggest sport event of the year for the island and the Cyclades in general\, attracting participation of renowned athletes and mountain running fans from around the world. Andros Trail Race is part of the 4th mountain racing championship of the Cyclades aka Cyclades Trail Cup\, which is consisted of 5 races this year on islands of Kea\, Folegandros\, Andros\, Kythnos and Tinos -one on each island- and aspires to include races of all the Cycladic Islands creating a large Cycladic sports event. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to choose between four routes\, the 24km Great route\, the 10km Small route\, the 5km route and the 1km for kids.  \nOrganizers aim to highlight the natural landscape of Andros\, with emphasis in the mountainous mainland and the hiking paths\, establishing the island as a center of alternative tourism and sports\, and the meeting point of Greek and foreign athletes in a great sports celebration! \nIn the same context\, the selection of routes was based on the natural beauty of the island and the hiking trails\, the importance of the interest points and the technical challenges\, which are similar to major mountain running race events. SUMMARY:Donousa Mountain Run 2017
DESCRIPTION:Cyclades Trail Cup will incorporate for the first time this year the Donousa Circuit Race. \nThe event is scheduled to be held on October 28 and includes two trail races:  15km with an ascent of 730m and 3\,5km with an ascent of 110m. \nThe 15km route is circular and is a trail around the Donousa island. The 3\,5km route is also circular but is more easy as it’s passable from everyone. Start & end point for both routes will be the Stavros village. \nRunners will run all the traditional footpaths that consist the Donousa Cultural Interest’s Routes Network \, in a Cycladic landscape and through all four villages of the island. SUMMARY:Amorgos Trail Challenge 2017
DESCRIPTION:For the first time this year the Cyclades Trail Cup sport series will include in its program the island of Amorgos. The event is organized by Amorgos Diving Center\, Vigla Hotel\, Askas Pension and Sophia Vlavianou. \nAmorgos Trail Challenge will include two main races of 18km and 7.5km at the Aegiali village on Amorgos. \nAlongside\, will be a held the “Spike” race. This is the first race of such a type ever to take place in Greece. Runners taking part to this race will start their ascent at sea level and head for the highest peak of Nikouria island. The challenge will be to reach the checkpoint at the top\, receive a special stamp from the organizer and begin their descent to the finish line on the beach. The Spike race does not have a marked route\, so runners will have to make their own way to the checkpoint! \nOn May 21\, at the evening participants will have the opportunity to attend the traditional festival at the square of Aegialis Bay. \nStay up to date and get social about the Amorgos Trail Challenge on facebook\, twitter and instagram.

SUMMARY:Naxos Trail Race 2017
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Cyclades Trail Cup is launched with a new race and a new destination. The Naxos Trail Race will be held on April 30\, on the beautiful island of Naxos. \nThe event includes two main races: Dionisos Race and Apollo Race. \nDionisos Race: it is a 10\,8km race dedicated to Dionisos god. According to mythology\, Dionisos was grown up and lived on Naxos island\, at the “bad cave” of Koronos. He eas married to Ariadne\, Minoa’s King daughter. \nApollo Race: it is the big race of a 25km route\, dedicated to Apollon\, who was worshiped on Naxos at three different places: at Portara\, at Tragea and at Apollonas village\, where on a rock there is the inscription “Border of holly Apollon village”. \nWithin the event’s framework will be held further events\, aiming to bring the participants close to culture\, the archaeological sites and the landscapes of Naxos. The events will be launched on Saturday\, April 29 and will be completed on May 1.
