DESCRIPTION:The season-opening\, fourth annual Messinia Pro-Am\, returns to Costa Navarino\, 19-22 February 2020\, attracting interest worldwide. \nThe tournament is attended by professional and amateur golfers from all over the world who will enjoy three days of competitive golfing on the award winning The Dunes Course and The Bay Course. The Dunes Course was designed by two-time US Masters Champion Bernhard Langer in association with European Golf Design\, while The Bay Course was designed by the American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. \nThe pre-event calendar begins on Sunday 16 February 2020\, when the Westin Resort Costa Navarino will welcome guests\, who will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the stunning landscape with spectacular sea views. \nOn Monday 17 February and Tuesday 18 February\, participants can join the optional Practice Days on The Dunes Course or The Bay Course from 08:00 to 18:00 and get a feel for the state of play on the two courses. \nOn Wednesday 19 February\, the official Practice Day at The Dunes Course or The Bay Course from 08:00 to 18:00 gives players the chance to test their strokes on the two acclaimed courses. \nRegistration is open to Teams from 09:00 to 20:00 at the entrance of the House of Events at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino. \nThe Messinia Pro-Am gets into full swing on Thursday 20 February from 08:00 to 18:00 with Round 1 (18 holes) at The Dunes Course and The Bay Course. The tournament continues on Friday 21 February with Round 2 (18 holes) of the competition from 08:00 to 18:00. DESCRIPTION:Costa Navarino presents the 3rd edition of Messinia Pro-Am\, 20-23 February 2019. The international golf tournament will welcome a total of 30 teams\, while professionals will be competing for a total prize fund of 30\,000 euros. \nAmong this year’s participants\, a global sports figure will be joining Messinia Pro-Am: Former international rugby player Mike Tindall that represented England 75 times and 5 times as captain over a 17 year career. \nThe tournament will take place at the award-winning golf courses of Costa Navarino\, which has been selected by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) as the “European Golf Resort of the Year 2017”\, in a landscape full of centuries-old olive trees with stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the historic Bay of Navarino. The two signature 18-hole golf courses\, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course will once again host professional and amateur golfers\, for a four-day event filled with unique experiences both on and off the course. \nRegistrations for the 30 participating teams\, will continue through the event’s official website here until January 18\, 2019. \nMessinia Pro-Am 2019 golfers will be able to get real-time updates on scores both at team and individual levels through the GolfBox live score service. \nThe 30 participating teams (comprising a professional and three amateurs) will compete with each other at The Dunes Course on Thursday\, February 21\, The Bay Course on Friday\, February 22\, and The Dunes Course on Saturday\, February 23\, 2019. DESCRIPTION:The countdown to the 2nd Messinia Pro-Am tournament at Costa Navarino has begun. Taking place 21-24 February 2018\, it has already received extensive interest globally. \nEach of the 50 teams participating will consist of one professional and three amateur golfers who will compete in three rounds at the two 18-hole signature golf courses. The Dunes Course and The Bay Course are set amidst the eternal olive trees overlooking the stunning views of the Ionian Sea and the Bay of Navarino. \nThe total prize fund of the 2nd Messinia Pro Am is €50\,000 and is the 2nd biggest fund in golf tournaments in Europe. Messinia Pro-Am supports a charity cause\, the SOS Children’s Villages that create families for children in need\, help them shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities.
