DESCRIPTION:Posidonia 2018\, the 31st International Shipping Exhibition\, will be held on June 4-8 at the Athens Metropolitan Expo. \nOnce again the Greek shipowners will welcome the international shipping community to Posidonia for five days of business\, debate and social gatherings. Few events can match this concentration of international buyers. In 2012 the stands of more than 1\,870 exhibitors attracted over 18\,500 buyers from 92 countries. \nEvery two years Posidonia takes the pulse of the global shipping industry and focuses on key issues for Greek shipping. \nIn conferences and seminars chaired by industry leaders\, there will be lively discussion and debate on issues\, challenges and opportunities facing the industry. \nTechnical presentations give the industry’s innovators the platform for their latest vessel designs\, eco-ship technologies\, communications\, propulsion systems and other vital developments. \nPosidonia will again host the Tradewinds Shipowners Forum and much more seminars and conferences have already been scheduled. \nThe Posidonia 2018 Games\nPosidonia Cup: The 8th Posidonia Cup Yacht Race in Faliron Bay launches Posidonia week on June 1. More than 50 crews will compete in four exciting event categories.\nPosidonia Running Event: The Posidonia Running Event turns Piraeus streets into athletic tracks on June 3.\nPosidonia Golf Tournament: The Posidonia Golf Tournament on June 3 at the Glyfada waterfront\, attracts senior shipping personalities for friendly but intense play in a perfect setting.\nPosidonia Shipsoccer Tournament : The Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament brings together Greek and international shipping companies competing for the prestigious trophy.
