SUMMARY:Syros City Trail 2017
DESCRIPTION:On September 2\, Chronosystems\, in cooperation with Life Racing and with the support of Syros Runners and the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupoli\, will organize the “Syros City Trail”\, the 3rd city trail running race in Syros\, an important athletic event for the island. \nParticipants can choose one of three routes: A 10k route for experienced athletes\, a 4k route for new runners and a 1k route for kids. The aim is to promote the historical and cultural heritage of Ermoupoli\, the island’s capital\, via a running and walking event. \n10km race\nThe length of the longer route is 10km with elevation of 320m. 95% of the terrain consists of stone paved alleys and steps and 5% of asphalt. The start time is at 6:00 pm in the Town Hall Square. \n4km race\nThe length of the shorter route is 4km with elevation of 110m. 98% of the terrain consists of stone paved alleys and steps and 2% of asphalt. The start time is at 6:00 pm in the Town Hall Square. \n1km race (Kid’s race)\nThe length of the children’s route is 1km with elevation of 16m. 98% of the terrain consists of stone paved alleys and steps and 2% of asphalt. SUMMARY:Naxos Trail Race 2017
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Cyclades Trail Cup is launched with a new race and a new destination. The Naxos Trail Race will be held on April 30\, on the beautiful island of Naxos. \nThe event includes two main races: Dionisos Race and Apollo Race. \nDionisos Race: it is a 10\,8km race dedicated to Dionisos god. According to mythology\, Dionisos was grown up and lived on Naxos island\, at the “bad cave” of Koronos. He eas married to Ariadne\, Minoa’s King daughter. \nApollo Race: it is the big race of a 25km route\, dedicated to Apollon\, who was worshiped on Naxos at three different places: at Portara\, at Tragea and at Apollonas village\, where on a rock there is the inscription “Border of holly Apollon village”. \nWithin the event’s framework will be held further events\, aiming to bring the participants close to culture\, the archaeological sites and the landscapes of Naxos. The events will be launched on Saturday\, April 29 and will be completed on May 1.
