As for overnights, 26.5 percent were comprised by Greeks (2.5 nights on average) and 73.5 percent were comprised by foreign nationals (with 5.4 nights on average). Last year 62 percent of total arrivals were divided in four regions, namely Attica (22.1 percent), Crete (13.9 percent), the South Aegean (13.3 percent) and Central Macedonia (12.6 percent). As for overnights, 80 percent were divided in five regions: Crete (23.4 percent), South Aegean (22.5 percent), Attica (11.8 percent), Ionian Islands (11.5 percent) and Central Macedonia (10.9 percent). The data of foreign arrivals and overnight stays for 2007 show that the majority of hotel customers come from European Union countries.
