Initiatives New Tourism Brochure for Tourist Rights by Nikos Krinis 1 September 2008 written by Nikos Krinis 1 September 2008 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 16 A new brochure entitled ‘Visiting Greece’ written by the European Consumer Center Greece and published by the development ministry is now available. ‘Visiting Greece’ is an English-language publication and addressed to the foreign visitors of Greece. It provides information on getting around, hotel accommodations, consumer purchases, mobile telephone charges for calls made to and from Greece, health services and opening hours of shops. The new brochure is available at all regional Greek National Tourism Organization offices and airports of the country and it is to be distributed directly to all districts, chambers and consumer associations. The publication will also be distributed from stands at the offices of the Development Ministry in Kaningos Square, the European Consumer Center and the General Secretariat for Consumers. The European Consumer Centre Greece has been in operation as of 1 January 2005 under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Consumers. It is part of an EU-wide network that provides information on cross-border shopping, ensures consumers are aware of their rights and gives support in the event of a complaint.
