Under the conception that Philoxenia is the Greek International Tourism Exhibition and POET holds the title of the federation that manages 100 percent of tourism income, we would like to express a warm welcome to all the visitors and exhibitors at Philoxenia 2008. With this opportunity I would like to give my special greetings and say a big thank you to our colleagues, tour operators and travel agents from all over the world, who continuously have supported Greek tourism over the years. We would also like to thank the representatives of the media, who support and promote our country by presenting the uniqueness of our tourist product (culture, morals, customs, history, etc.) Greek tourism’s development continues in accordance with the needs and growth of world tourism, which over the past few years has made great improvements within all tourism sectors. We are optimistic that in the future the value of tourism and its offers will be recognized worldwide as it proceeds hand in hand with the industry’s needs and the environmental responsibilities for the protection of our world in regards to the pollution of our planet, which concerns all citizens and governments of our world. We wish every success to Philoxenia 2008. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
