Fmr Culture and Tourism Deputy Minister

Philoxenia 2009 greetings.

The 25th International Tourism Exhibition Philoxenia finds Greek tourism at the starting point of a redevelopment path, which aims to maximize the benefits of the industry and the national economy.

Our desire is to regain lost ground with a plan and a vision. To lead Greek tourism where it rightfully deserves to be: at the forefront of global rankings.

Through the promotion of our comparative advantages and the adjustments to our policies, to meet international demand, we will move towards the achievement of our goals.

Tourism industry bodies, entrepreneurs and employees are called to take part in the joint effort to upgrade Greek tourism.

Under a protected institutional framework, tourism and culture are two notable concepts that are inseparably linked and fully intertwined through a collaborative function.

These two concepts, in regards to the policy that we will implement, will provide the basic essentials for further tourism development.

Everyone is invited to participate in the development plan of Greek tourism. Tourism industry bodies, entrepreneurs and employees are called to take part in the joint effort to upgrade Greek tourism.
