The awarding ceremony took place during a special event held at the recent Athens Flying Week 2018 airshow held at Tanagra Air Base. “Through these awards Alitalia wants to acknowledge the efforts of its partners for the promotion of its product,” said the airline’s Country Manager for Greece, Cyprus and Malta, George Athanassiou. Alitalia Performance Awards 2017 The Performance Awards 2017 were based on the final contribution of three partner travel agents to Alitalia’s sales last year. The new uniforms, which signaled the opening of Milan Men’s Fashion Week in June, are created in a seasonless lightweight fine gauge blue wool and customized with satin gold buttons engraved with the “A” for Alitalia. For the in-flight crew, Ferretti designed a vest and an Alitalia logoed jacquard apron style dress. The women’s jackets are marked at the waist with a gros-gain ribbon in the Italian tricolor of the flag. The new creations include a suit for men. The outerwear includes raincoats made of cotton and waterproof nylon, for both men and women, finished with a removable lightly quilted lining. The look includes cotton poplin blouses with pocket detail, foulards and ties in matching silk twill, leather gloves and wool knitwear. Interest in Athens During his speech, Athanassiou underlined the airline’s interest in increasing its services from Athens either with the launch of new destinations or boosting the frequencies of already existing routes. Moreover, he referred to the upward trend Alitalia is recording, despite the difficulties of recent years. According to reports, the third quarter of 2018 has been profitable for Alitalia. The July-September period is expected to close with a net profit of some two million euros.
