The opening of the hotel’s doors follows an investment of some 800,000 euros, which included a full refurbishment of almost the whole property, the addition of a new infinity heated swimming pool with a pool bar, a new restaurant area with an exterior bar, a new venue for wedding ceremonies and private dinners and five brand new rooms. Located in Fira, Athina Luxury Suites is perched on the cliffs of the caldera, just meters away from the vibrant town center, and offers breathtaking views, world-class services and an exquisite stay, aiming to offer guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Infrastructure is essential Fira, Santorini. Moreover, Argirou stressed that Santorini needs additional infrastructure to support the incoming tourist flows and facilitate visitors. “The island is in need of a better road network, a more organized marina, decentralization of public services from the center of Fira, cleanliness… These issues should be solved before it’s too late and the island suffers the consequences of overtourism,” she concluded. Athina Luxury Suites operates on a seasonal basis and will remain open until November 30. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
