During the event, Vigla Hotel presented Amorgos’ natural beauties and wide trail network along with the Paths of Greece organization and the Trail Challenge sports event, which has been taking place on the island for the last three years.

Located in the traditional village of Tholaria on Amorgos, Vigla Hotel has been certified as a Hikers’ Friendly Hotel. “This way we are dynamically supporting hiking tourism,” the hotel’s managing director, Despina Giannakopoulou, told GTP Headlines.

The hotel offers hiking equipment and guidelines, and organizes hiking tours on Amorgos’ wide trail network.

“Hiking tourism is constantly growing in Greece, while Amorgos is an island with a unique natural environment that can impress hikers from all over Europe,” Giannakopoulou added.
