DNA Travel, an alternative tourism agency in Greece, has become a member of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA).

The world’s largest association of travel professionals, ASTA and its affiliated organizations aim to facilitate the business of selling travel through effective representation, shared knowledge and the enhancement of professionalism.

Founded in 1931, ASTA and its affiliates now comprise the world’s largest and most influential travel trade association with members in 140 countries.

“We aim to introduce visitors to the multifaceted nature of Greece.” – DNA Travel CEO Iakovos Sachas

Its new member, DNA Travel, with offices in Athens and Santorini, designs and implements alternative and experiential travel packages and excursions with transportation by private buses.

The company’s aim is to lay down the foundations for business growth in overseas markets, which have seen a spectacular increase in interest in experience travel, local culture and gastronomy.

“The emergence of local gastronomy, culture, history and art must form the basis of the development of sustainable tourism in Greece,” said Iakovos Sachas, president and CEO of DNA Travel.

“By creating packages focused on local communities, we aim to introduce visitors from long haul destinations to the multifaceted nature of Greece and at the same time become a lever for growth and profitability,” he added.
