The awards ceremony will take place at the Ecali Club, on February 3 and will be hosted by popular Greek actor Giorgos Kapoutzidis. The winners of the FNL Best Restaurant Awards are determined by a 15-member committee that consists of FNL experts and distinguished gastronomy critics. Aiming is to reward and promote excellence in the Greek gastronomy scene, the committee last year traveled throughout Greece and held numerous tasting events. “Greece’s most experienced prestigious team of gastronomy experts has compiled the list of the country’s best restaurants including everything: from street food and traditional Greek cuisine to modern bistros and fine dining… International or local [cuisine], fancy or casual, the FNL Guide puts the chefs’ taste, fantasy and creativity first,” the event’s oragnizer said. FNL will honor Greece’s restaurants with one, two, three or four stars across 10 categories including international and Greek high-end gastronomy, traditional Greek cuisine, modern bistro, street food, and fusion & ethnic. FNL’s Special Awards include five categories: Overall Contribution; Best Newcomer; Most Influential Chef, Best Wine List and Best Pastry Chef.
