On occasion of International Women’s Day, GTP Headlines has invited women in Greek tourism to take a stand and answer the following question:

What is the greatest challenge for Greek tourism in the post-Covid-19 era and what is the first step to address it?

“Winston Churchill is credited with first saying: “Never waste a good crisis”.
Addressing the pandemic’s impact, we understand that it could offer an unprecedented opportunity to challenge and overcome biased norms, structures, and legislation still shaping the perception of women.
Equality cannot be postponed.
We can start by writing a new social narrative where women are agents of change; and that change starts from equal education and equal wages.
Political, economic and social equality for women will benefit all the world’s citizens. Now is the time for us all together to turn this crisis into an opportunity and make the world a better place.”
