On occasion of International Women’s Day, GTP Headlines has invited women in Greek tourism to take a stand and answer the following question:

What is the greatest challenge for Greek tourism in the post-Covid-19 era and what is the first step to address it?

“The big challenge is the need to comply with all existing health and safety protocols, while at the same time opening our country to the world by staying on top as a safe destination.
Very early and careful planning and marketing communication are required by the Greek state and tourism businesses, and it’s time to start. Tourism stakeholders should also not forget domestic travelers as their first pool of visitors in 2021.
As for us tourist guides, as always, we are ready to guide… when the time will be right.”

Efi Kalampoukidou
President, European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG)
