On occasion of International Women’s Day, GTP Headlines has invited women in Greek tourism to take a stand and answer the following question:

What is the greatest challenge for Greek tourism in the post-Covid-19 era and what is the first step to address it?

“The main challenge ahead is the pandemic’s economic impact. Our goal is this year to achieve the best possible financial results and increased occupancy rates. This season’s economic boost is a matter of survival. Bank loans and deferrals of payments are not a panacea.
This year, we need to welcome guests with great optimism and once again with strict health and safety measures.
New types of customers emerged due to the pandemic: the post-covid generation. Guests are mindful. They travel well, meet the locals and appreciate CSR practices.
In the post-covid era, the state must fund all tourism businesses that embrace change in both green infrastructure and innovative services.”
