On occasion of International Women’s Day, GTP Headlines has invited women in Greek tourism to take a stand and answer the following question:

What is the greatest challenge for Greek tourism in the post-Covid-19 era and what is the first step to address it?

“The challenge? Kickstarting the tourism sector’s recovery.
Last year, Greek tourism demonstrated its remarkable resilience in the face of adversity. With last year’s hard-earned experience and Greece’s reputation as one of the safest tourist destinations during the pandemic, Greek tourism is set to open safely for all our visitors.
The post-Covid era is full of opportunities and now is the time to tap into our full potential, strengthen and promote our thematic tourism industry. Greece’s inherent advantages, many still unexplored, will provide additional quality and value to the Greek tourist product, enhancing the authenticity and uniqueness of the Greek travel experience.”

Sofia Zacharaki
Greek Deputy Tourism Minister
