TripAdvisor: Greek Hotels on Travelers’ Choice ‘Best’ List for 2021

A number of Greek hotels, located in some of the country’s most popular tourism destinations, are included on the 2021 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards for Hotels list, which was recently released by travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor.

Halkidiki’s Sani Dunes resort and Achtis Hotel are among the Top 25 Hotels in the World, ranking third and fifth respectively.

Both hotels are also on the Top 25 Hotels in Europe list, ranking second and third, respectively.

Europe’s list includes two more Greek hotels – the Ikos Olivia in Halkidiki, in the 12th spot, and Santorini’s Canaves Oia Suites in the 15th place.

Top Hotel in the World

Hotel Colline de France, in Gramado, Brazil, was announced Top Hotel in the World, while The Omnia hotel in Zermatt, Switzerland, was named Best in Europe.

New Travelers’ Choice categories

Every year, Tripadvisor combs through the millions of reviews from its global community of travelers to surface the hotels that people raved about most, and this year is no different.

The 2021 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotel winners were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor between 1/1/2020 and 12/31/2020 specific to each award subcategory, as well as an additional editorial process.

Furthermore, TripAdvisor this year introduced four brand-new categories: the Hottest New Hotels (properties that opened in July 2019 or later), the Top Rooftop Hotels, the Safari Stays and the Picture-Perfect Hotels (properties with gorgeous photos on Tripadvisor).
