The Skala Hotel, located on the Greek island of Patmos, is preparing to welcome its first guests as of June 15.

Located in Skala – the island’s port, only 50 meters from the beach, the hotel offers recently renovated spacious rooms and modern comforts.

Its facilities also include a large swimming pool and a bar, as well as a conference center with state-of-the-art equipment, that can host up to 400 persons.

“The Skala Hotel is a ‘revelation’ on Patmos island. During the previous months, we invested time and effort to upgrade our health and safety standards in order for all or our guests to have a safe, unique hospitality experience,” the hotel’s manager, Theologos Gryllis, said.

The Skala Hotel has adopted all the latest health and safety measures announced by Greek authorities to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and protect its visitors and staff. The property has also acquired the Health First seal.

Furthermore, the hotel’s staff has been vaccinated and follow the personal protective measures against Covid-19.

Patmos is among the northernmost islands of the Dodecanese complex. It is accessible by ferry from Piraeus. It has no airport, thus remains unaffected by mass tourism but attracts people from all over the world due to its tranquility.

The island is a known hotspot for tourists interested in visiting pilgrimage sites such as the Monastery of St John and the Cave of the Apocalypse.
