In Greece, the program’s coordinator is the the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (EEPF) . This is the 19th consecutive year that the beach of the AKS Hinitsa Bay has been awarded with the “Blue Flag” eco-label. “AKS Hinitsa Bay’s primary goal is the provision of refined quality services while always prioritizing the security of our guests,” the hotel’s management says in an announcement. Blue Flag certification has very strict criteria with respect to environmental education and awareness, noting the quality of waters, environmental management, safety issues, lifeguard and first aid services and infrastructure. “Granting the Blue Flag to our beach rewards our efforts and honors us – especially since Hinitsa Beach is one of five other beaches in the Argolida region,” says management.
