Recruitments Olympia Anastasopoulou Appointed New Greek Tourism Secretary General by Nikos Krinis 27 December 2021 written by Nikos Krinis 27 December 2021 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 30 Olympia Anastasopoulou, attorney at law accredited to the Supreme Court of Greece, has been appointed new Secretary General for Tourism Policy and Development of the Greek Tourism Ministry, after Vicky Loizou stepped down from her post, it was announced on Monday. With more than twenty years of experience in practicing law, Anastasopoulou has served as an accredited mediator of the Ministry of Justice and also collaborated with large law firms, companies and organizations in Greece and abroad, with a focus on the commercial, insurance and financial sector. She graduated with honors from Athens College in 1989 and later earned a degree from the Law School of the University of Athens. She has a postgraduate degree in EU Law and Business Administration. Anastasopoulou is the mother of two boys, 20 and 17 years old. She speaks English, French and German. In 2019, she enrolled in the New Democracy party, having been a member of the political party Potami (The River), a centrist and social-liberal political party, since 2014. Loizou was just one of the Greek government’s secretary generals to step down from her post in order to be able to run in upcoming elections.
