Panos Almyrantis Announcing the news on social media, Grand Hyatt Athens said Panos, an acclaimed professional in the tourism industry, has an outstanding academic background with several recognitions and a multi-year experience in the management of top hotels in Greece and abroad. “He has brought a new perspective to the hotel in addition to the vision for the expansion of Grand Hyatt Athens in the summer of 2022,” the announcement said. Panos Almyrantis is also Vice President and National Delegate in Greece & Cyprus for the European Hotel Managers Association – EHMA. “I am delighted to join the family of the Grand Hyatt Athens, surrounded by people who provide authentic hospitality. Our vision for expansion within 2022 will help Grand Hyatt become a landmark hotel in Athens,” he told GTP Headlines. Committed to promoting authentic hospitality, Panos is also chairman of the organizing committee of the “Greek Hotel of the Year Awards”, a position he has held since 2020. Panos holds several distinctions in sales management, operations and hotel management in Greece and abroad. In 2014, he was named European Hotel Manager by EHMA. The Grand Hyatt Athens – the second venture of Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Greece – opened its doors in 2018. Located on Syngrou avenue, the five-star hotel combines dramatic architecture with innovative design. The Grand Hyatt Athens features 321 guestrooms, 38 of which are suites.
