The news was announced earlier in May during an awards ceremony held by the Accor Group in Barcelona, Spain, to honor its best hotels. The award was received by Accor Group CEO Sebastian Bazin, Accor Southern Europe CEO Maude Bailey and Premium Brands Southern Europe President Vincent Louis. RPS is integral to the ongoing success of any hotel — a badge of success highlighting their guests’ experience. Athens Capital is the first MGallery Collection hotel in Greece. It was recognized by Accor among 1,850 hotels in Southern Europe, in countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Malta. The hotel opened its doors in 2020, bringing the upscale style of the Accor brand to Syntagma Square in the center of the Greek capital. It boasts 177 guestrooms, including 18 suites and one impressive Presidential Suite, designed to provide an unparalleled experience of hospitality. On-site hotel amenities include the MFlavours Main Restaurant, which promises food “journeys” to the Mediterranean; the Galerie Café on the ground floor; and the Mappemonde Rooftop Pool Bar, which offers panoramic views of Athens from morning until night. The property is included in the portfolio of Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA.
