During his stay in Athens in late August, Sen. Menendez met with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion, shortly before he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Athens. The Greek PM praised the senator’s contribution to strengthening Greek-American relations, peace and cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean, for which he received the Grand Cross of the Order of Honour.
