The latest news and developments of Canada’s Air Transat were presented to leading Greek travel agents in northern Greece during a recent event at the Mediterranean Palace hotel in Thessaloniki. The event was hosted by the airline’s general sales agent (GSA) in Greece, Discover the World Greece and Cyprus.

Attended by Macedonia-Thrace Travel Agents Association President Vyron Theologis, local travel agents and Canada’s Honourary Consul in Thessaloniki, Pantelis Petmezas, the event centered around Air Transat’s summer program for 2023.

As of May 27, Air Transat will operate direct flights from Athens to Montreal and Toronto. The flights will be operated with an Airbus A330 with a frequency of up to four flights per week. The carrier’s routes will be extended with domestic flights to Quebec, Calgary, Vancouver, as well as San Francisco in the United States.

Based in Montreal, Quebec, Air Transat is a leading leisure travel brand and today flies to some 60 destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, the United States and Canada, and offers more than 265 additional destinations through partnerships with other carriers.

The airline last year marked its 35 years of service in air travel and also announced a new brand positioning and signature that fully embodies its purpose: “Travel Moves Us”.

Moreover, during the event, travel agents were informed that Air Transat is renewing its fleet with the greenest aircraft as part of a commitment to a healthier environment.

Air Transat flies aircraft including Airbus A330, Airbus A321 and the greenest-in-class Airbus A321neoLR.
