Avant Mar: Paros to Welcome New 5-star Hotel with Matsuhisa Restaurant in July

Grivalia Hospitality, a leading investment company in the luxury hospitality sector, on Thursday announced that Avant Mar, its new 5-star hotel in Naoussa, Paros, will officially open its doors in July and welcome guests for the first time.

Located on Piperi beach, the new beachfront hotel fuses unique architecture with Cycladic authenticity and will aim to upgrade the tourism offering of Paros, providing a hospitality experience of very high standards for both Greek and foreign visitors.

“Our vision is to bring a high-level product to the Greek market and upgrade each destination we invest in and offer unique experiences to visitors,” Grivalia Hospitality President & CEO George Chrysikos said during a media event.

An investment of 30 million euros that included the renovation of the former 3-star Piperi hotel and development of a land plot in the property, Avant Mar has a capacity of 38 spacious luxury rooms with direct sea views and suites with private plunge pools.

The 5-star establishment covers 6,100 square meters of land and will feature internationally renowned signature restaurant “Matsuhisa”, a beachfront Greek restaurant (Thymes) with a separate entrance for non-hotel guests, other F&b areas, retail shops, spa and gym.

During the event, it was announced that Avant Mar will welcome acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa to Paros. Adding to the existing 14 locations worldwide, Avant Mar will introduce Nobu-style cuisine to the island in a Mediterranean garden by the sea.

“We are excited to open the doors of Avant Mar and Matsuhisa Paros, especially at this time when it has been 20 years since the opening of Matsuhisa Mykonos, the first open air Matsuhisa restaurant in the world,” Avant Mar General Manager Anna Asimakopoulou said during the event.

Encompassing an inviting open kitchen and a vibrant sushi bar, Asimakopoulou said Matsuhisa Paros promises unique tastes on one of the island’s most idyllic shores.

“Our collaboration combines the excellence of Nobu Matsuhisa’s cuisine with the luxury and excellent service provided by Avant Mar. We look forward to offering our guests an unforgettable taste experience at Matsuhisa Paros, combining the pleasure of our hospitality with the magic of Nobu-style cuisine,” she added.

Grivalia Hospitality focuses on carrying out ultra-luxury hospitality projects in Greece. Its portfolio of hotels is expected to exceed 1.5 billion euros in value when its investment plan is completed within the next three years. Projects include the One&Only ultra luxury resort in Athens’ seaside district of Glyfada, a glamping site in Voula and the Six Senses Megalonisos hotel near the island of Evia.
