Greek company SWOT Hospitality is planning to expand abroad after celebrating its tenth anniversary since its launch in the tourism industry. Based in Athens and a certified partner of major international hotel brands such as Marriott International, Accor and Nikki Beach, SWOT specializes in the management and development of tourism real estate/investment projects and offers sales, marketing and consulting services to hotels in Greece. The expansion plans were announced Thursday by SWOT’s president, Stelios Koutsivitis, during an event in Athens held to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary this year. “Having now completed a decade in the market, SWOT is in the position to now expand abroad,” Koutsivitis said, adding that the company recently signed its first preliminary cooperation agreement for the management of a hotel in Serbia of hospitality giant Marriott International. During his speech, Koutsivitis referred to the company’s latest addition to its portfolio – the newly opened Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes, part of Curio Collection by Hilton. SWOT Hospitality has undertaken the hotel’s management. Founded in 2013, SWOT currently manages ten hotels, six of which are in collaboration with leading international hospitality brands. In the last two years, SWOT took over the management of five new hotels in leading Greek tourism destinations: Santorini (Magma Resort Santorini, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt), Athens (Moxy Athens City/Marriott International), Thessaloniki (Monasty by Autograph Collection by Marriott International), Mykonos (Yi Mykonos) and recently Rhodes (Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton). The Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton is SWOT Hospitality’s latest addition to its portfolio. Having built partnerships with international hotel chains and also having White Label Operator (WLO) certification from Accor S.A., Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts and Leading Hotels of the World, The total value of SWOT’s portfolio has reached 200 million euros. “SWOT Hospitality has faith in Greek tourism and its prospects,” Koutsivitis said, adding that tourism is a very important pillar of development in this period of uncertainty. Along with its expansion abroad, SWOT is also expected to soon be part of a big investment project in Greece. SWOT Hospitality was founded by brothers Yiorgos and Panos Constantinidis. On his part, SWOT’s co-founder and CEO Panos Constantinidis said that the company’s success lies in their ability to understand the market. “We put a lot of focus on experiences, lifestyle, entertainment and fashion… Because the traveler wants to go to hotels that ae buzzing with life,” he said. Other hotels in SWOT’s portfolio include the Nikki Beach Resort & Spa in Porto Heli, the Sansal Boutique Hotel in Chania and the Moxy Hotel in Patra, among others.
