The deputy minister highlighted that with the new service, the hours (waiting time) before a flight is turned into a “useful time of travel experiences” in the urban environment of Attica, making the departure process pleasant, comfortable and unique. “We all know how much final impressions count… The last impressions of a visitor leaving Greece to return to his homeland must be the best possible and the In Town Check In service is sure to contribute to this,” she added. Reply Cath Southgate 25 July 2023 - 08:16 What a great idea and one we would use on our next trip home from our self planned Greek holiday. There’s often a considerable amount of time between disembarking in Piraeus and flying from the airport home to UK. Getting our bags dropped off at the port and having time to utilise the time between arrival and departure is such a great idea providing there’s a 100% guarantee the bags will get to the airport in time for the flight home. At peak times getting the X96 with luggage is difficult and hopefully this will help with sightseeing around Athens and getting on and off public transport.
