Held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, IFTM Top Resa gathers all players of the French and European tourism industry: destinations, group travel specialists, coach companies, travel agents and tour operators. The exhibition will run October 3-5. Kefalogianni to meet officials from Jordan and Cyprus, Hold talks with airlines Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni. During her visit to Top Resa 2023, the Greek tourism minister will meet with the Tourism and Culture Minister of Jordan and the Deputy Tourism Minister of Cyprus. Her agenda will include meetings with tour operators, travel agents and leading airlines such as TUI, Transavia and Air France. Kefalogianni will also give interviews to the French media. “The minister’s presence at IFTM Top Resa, one of the largest tourism exhibitions worldwide, and her meetings with foreign officials and agencies, aims to strengthen tourism diplomacy, the outreach of Greek tourism and pass on the message to the world that Greece is a leading player and has established itself as a tourist destination of global appeal,” an announcement by the tourism ministry said. Fragakis to discuss expanding GNTO’s cooperation with Michelin Guide GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis. The GNTO will represent Greece at the IFTM Top Resa 2023 expo. While in Paris and on the sidelines of the exhibition, the organization’s secretary general, Dimitris Fragakis, will meet with officials of Michelin Guide. Fragakis will discuss the GNTO’s current cooperation with the renowned guide and explore expanding it. Michelin Guide recently released its first edition of Michelin-starred restaurants in Athens. Fragakis is expected to discuss the possibility of Michelin Guide also releasing editions for two Greek islands and either a mainland destination or a Greek region. The secretary general will also visit headquarters of UNESCO to discuss a possible cooperation of the international organization with the GNTO on sustainability issues in tourism. He will also visit the Paris Region Tourist Board. Moreover, in view of preparing for the 2024 season, Fragakis is also scheduled to meet with representatives of airlines, tour operators and other leading players of France’s tourism market. France was one of Greece’s main tourist markets, after Germany and the UK, between January and July, according to data released recently by the Bank of Greece. The number of travelers from France to Greece during the first seven months of the year increased by 12.4 percent to over one million. During the same period, receipts from France grew by 23.9 percent to 782.0 million euros.
