The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) has evolved the identity and logo of its “Boutique Hotel” certification seal. Launched by the chamber to boost the quality in Greek tourism, the “Boutique Hotel” program is addressed to Greek accommodation units that fulfill the requirements of being designated as “boutique hotels”. Following the completion of an online process they receive certification and the special seal, which comes with a number of privileges . The chamber presented the program’s new logo – under the slogan “Love to host you” – at the recent Xenia 2023 hospitality trade show held at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens. The exterior of the “Boutique Hotels” stand at the Xenia 2023 hospitality trade show. “The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels contributes dynamically to the national effort to support the economy, sustainable tourism development and boost employment, and – with the Boutique Hotel program – the quality upgrade of Greek hospitality,” the chamber’s president, Alexandros Vassilikos, said. According to Vassilikos, with its members having reached 182, the program is “dynamically moving into a new phase of extroversion” with a renewed identity and logo. Representatives of the “Boutique Hotel” program were on call at the Xenia expo in a specially designed stand informing hoteliers who were interested in meeting the conditions to join the Boutique Hotels community. Moreover, at Xenia, the program’s representatives hosted an event named “Dialogues” which focused on offering authenticity in the hospitality experience. Attendees at the event were informed how the value of a destination can increase through architectural design, culinary tradition and experiential hospitality experience”. The event also saw the attendance of owners of hotels in the “Boutique Hotel” program (Filaretos Psimmenos , Amanita guesthouse, Pelion; Maria Kladaki, Orloff Boutique Hotel, Hydra; and Stelios Mantzaris, Varos Village, Limnos) who provided their know-how and best practices on connecting the “boutique” accommodation experience with the destination’s identity, authentic experiences and sustainable tourism development . Moreover, the “Boutique Hotel” stand at Xenia welcomed tourism and hospitality students from Public Vocational Training Institutes of Piraeus, Acharnes and Agios Dimitrios visited the stand who were interested to learn of the program’s details.
