In its ninth year, the annual meeting brings together research and marketing directors of European national tourism organizations as well as ETC partners and external experts. The event, which is open exclusively to ETC members and partners, is aimed at discussing the implementation and outputs of the ETC’s research and marketing activities. In addition, the meeting provides delegates with a unique opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest trends. It also serves as an exceptional platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in tourism while networking and connecting with peers. The ETC’s 9th MIG and Marketing Group meeting in Athens will be held under the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO). “It will be our pleasure to welcome our counterparts from all over Europe,” GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis said. The GNTO is one of the 19 founding members of the ETC. “It will be an excellent opportunity to present travel experiences in our country during the winter months as well as Athens as a city break destination,” he added. Established in 1948, the European Travel Commission represents the national tourism organizations of Europe. With 35 member tourism boards, its mission is to strengthen sustainable development and promote Europe as a tourist destination through cooperation, sharing best practices, market intelligence, and joint promotion efforts.
